Afraid of chatty Uber drivers? Good news! Waymo One's self-driving Jaguars are now available to everyone in San Francisco.
Key Points:
Waymo started 15 years ago as a Google project.
Despite some bumps (including safety probes and a car set on fire), Waymo’s still cruising.
300,000 people were on the San Francisco waitlist before it opened to the public, and Waymo cars have driven 3.8 million miles in the city.
Their Next Goal? Make money and compete with Uber and Lyft.

So I watched a pretty good podcast this week and thought I'd share.
This dude tells several interesting stories with Mark Zuckerberg and Warren Buffett, but the one I like the most was about Steven Spielberg.
19 year old Spielberg swindled his way into Universal Studios Hollywood, and managed to become best mates with Chuck Silvers.
Chuck was instrumental in getting Spielberg his chance - Spielberg made a short film, and chuck called Sid Sheinberg, Universal TV’s vice president of production, who then offered Spielberg a 7-year contract on the spot. Damn.
So, that’s how Steven Spielberg became the youngest major studio director in Hollywood history.
